SAN CLEMENTE, CA - Small-to-medium-sized design houses requiring flexible component testing services now have a new vendor option. Due to recent acquisition of automatic test equipment (ATE), including a mixed-signal tester, Legacy Electronics announces a variety of component testing services for analog, digital or mixed-signal ICs. These services include testing of SDR, DDR1 and DDR2 technology components in TSOP or BGA packages, as well as specialty parameter testing services, such as high-temperature IC testing. Jason Engle, Legacy Electronics’ president, commented “We’re happy to offer a new solution to our current customers and to design houses that might not require huge volume testing or that need uniquely-tailored test solutions. We can develop test programs for production testing of standard products and specialty test screens for semiconductors.” Engle added that some of Legacy’s new testing services are uniquely suited for testing consumer mixed-signal products such as digital television ICs, MPEG decoders, set-top boxes, DSL devices, cable modems, and PC audio/video devices. A comprehensive list of the new test services includes: · Test program development · Production testing · Product characterization and screening · Prototype testing · Wafer probing to 8” · Environmental testing · Test vector and load board development · Tape & de-tape services · 2D and 3D inspection and imaging · Lead scan · Dry bake and dry pack · Test bench development · Digital design Availability and More Information About Legacy Electronics Founded in 1993 and located among the new high-technology companies of South Orange County, California, Legacy Electronics is home of the patented CanopyÔ chip-stacking alternative, a three-dimensional printed circuit board subassembly and process technology.
